M3: Man Male Masculine

Daagi has accomplished an art-project as a participator of South-Asian regional project named ‘M3: Man, Male and Masculine’ in association with Goethe Institut Bangladesh. This publication is a part of this initiative where the viewers and the readers would get an overview of the collective effort of creating dialogues with the concept and practice of masculinity in our region. Following a series of online discussion sessions Daagi Art Garage extended the project executing different layers as Live Art Performance, Video Documentation, Postering, Art-Workshop and so on. In this very project, Daagi emphasize to the identity crises and the politics of Gender-identity and possibilities of their visual expressions in the context of Bangladesh.

DAAGI Art Garage The Daagi Art Garage is a collaborative and supportive collective, comprised of seven Dhaka-based artists working across a variety of disciplines. Officially founded on friendship and common perceptions, members took a studio space together where they could meet, make work, share ideas, and solve their own and others artistic problems, inspire and support each other.
